Parenting With the Brain in Mind Week in Columbia, MO

It's quite an honor that the Mayor of Columbia, MO declared a special Parenting With the Brain in Mind Week. Dr. Dave conducted a series of workshops over 1,000 parents, caregivers, and teachers. The entire community came together to have conversations about what brain science can tell us about raising brighter, healthier, and happier kids. Here is little snapshot of what it was like:
This special week was a great reminder that entire communities can come together to prioritize caring for kids. Even the local preschoolers learned a brain song to launch the week! Read the book Smart Parenting, Smarter Kids to learn more about what parenting with the brain in mind is all about.
Dr. Dave returns from Singapore!

Millions of young people play video games and live a healthy, balanced life. For some kids however, game play can get out of control. Dr. Dave just spent three weeks teaching a course in Singapore (see him with his students below!), where mental health professionals have no qualms about using the word cyber-addiction.
